Submission Guidelines: Non Fiction

What We Want:
Critiques should be in academic prose free from grammar and spelling errors. We want analytical, original, and insightful articles that approach speculative fiction from a unique angle. Some examples of what we're looking for : analytical essays on speculative fiction novels or movies, articles that connect science fiction with the technology of today, and writing that analyzes and makes interesting connections between cultural (sociological, psychological, political, etc.) topics and speculative fiction.

What We Don’t Want:
We don’t want obvious criticism, summary, or reviews of any kind. No “I liked” blank “because” blank. It must be more elevated than that.

Submission Process:
Email submissions to imaginariumsubs@gmail.com. At this time we are only accepting electronic submissions. It saves trees.

Please submit documents in .rtf or .doc format, with 12pt Times New Roman, double spaced, 1” margins. Include your full name, a valid e-mail address, and title in the top left corner, and the word count in the top right corner. In the e-mail subject line, include “Submission”, your last name, and the title of the work. Cover letters are accepted but not necessary. If you use outside material, please include citations and a bibliography in MLA style.

We accept a maximum of two non-fiction works per author at once.
